It’s just a tragic and touching old movie. Well, you’ll love it, especially with its dramatic music, love story.
Jennifer Cavalleri (Ali McGraw), a smart-and-poor harvard girl, who met with Oliver Barret IV (Ryan O’ Neal), a -stupid-and-rich man, build her live in a tragic romantic love story. Jenny, living with her father, Phil, was a smart music-faculty student. Her meeting with Oliver had changed her live. Then, they started to build relationships. In other hand, Oliver had a conflict with his father, who always wanted Oliver to continue his study in Law-faculty of harvard. He just gave Oliver exception for his marriage with Jenny. Oliver must finish his study in the law school before he gets married.
Fortunately, Oliver can make it. He just got married to Jenny. But one problem, they can’t got any child. Oliver just found a mistake in Jenny’s health when he asked the doctor about the “can’t got child” problem. And Jenny is dying sick.
After all, Jenny spent her last time in hospital, and Oliver, continue his live without her. This movie is continued in “Oliver’s Story” (1978), also made by Erich Segal, and also starring Ryan O’Neal. Read my next post about it.
